Teacher FAQ

Parents are entitled to information and the communication in the parent dashboard is an efficient way for teachers to communicate with parents. The dashboard makes it easier to initiate the teacher-parent relationship and clarifies the information flow. It is also time-saving as many direct questions from parents can be avoided – the answers are already in the parent dashboard. With the parent dashboard parents can better prepare themselves for, for example, parent/teacher meetings.

Questions and Answers

What becomes available for parents?

The parents have access to information about:

  • Task lists
  • Completed activities, such as test and assignment results
  • Course reports and plans
  • Individual learning plans
  • Attendance remarks
  • Behaviour remarks
  • Any other general information the school decides to publish

Does this mean extra work for me?

No, the personalised learner reporting is automated.

Who will be responsible for maintaining the general information that is published by the school for parents?

How the responsibilities for maintaining such general information is delegated will be the decision of the school management staff.

How can I prevent a specific course from being available to parents?

At present, this is not possible. However, parents can only see the administrative aspect, planning and status and follow-up, of the course not the entire course content.

How can I communicate with parents?

You can use the internal messaging system. The communication can only be seen by the parent you send the message to and you. If you want to, you can involve the child in the communication by sending them a copy of the message.
