Parental engagement is key to a child’s educational success, and we know the school wants to involve parents. With the parent dashboard you can follow-up your children's education without feeling you are disturbing the teachers. It makes it easier to follow your child’s progress and attainment, and also improves the home-school communication. You get co-ordinated information – no more printed letters sent home with the children. You also receive general information from the school through the parent dashboard.
Questions & Answers
Where do I log in?
You receive a user name and password from the school and log in from https://www.itslearning.com. Each parent will receive their own personal login.
I have logged in. Why can't I see my children?
Your user account has for some reason not been linked to your child. Notify the school about the problem – they should be able to fix it. Another explanation may be that legal aspects prevents you from accessing information about your child, such as changes in custody or guardianship, restraining orders and so on.
What information can I access?
Depending on how your school use it’s learning, the parent dashboard can contain information about your child’s everyday school life, such as plans and homework, grades, results, and attendance and behaviour remarks. This information serves as a background when following-up your child. The information automatically become visible when the teacher or mentor publishes it – there is no need for direct involvement from the school when new information is published. You will also have access to general school information.
What if we do not have a computer or internet connection?
A computer or an internet connection is a prerequisite for logging in. However, you can log in from any computer from anywhere. This means you can log in from, for example, your workplace or public computers in internet cafes or libraries. You can even log in from mobile devices.
Can I access my child’s messages if I suspect he or she is being bullied?
No, not through the parent dashboard. We strive to protect the privacy of the children, but if you suspect bullying you should contact the school and/or ask your child for permission to read the messages through his or her it’s learning account.
Who can see the information about my child?
The login is highly secure. As long as you keep the password private, information from the parent dashboard is only available to you. It is possible, however, for other persons with parental responsibilities for your child to have a separate login. The school configures who has access.
Who decides who can have access to my child’s information?
An appointed school member of staff has responsibility for assigning logins, and will adhere to legal requirements. Relevant records and parties involved will be checked prior to the release of extra login details. For your peace of mind check that the school has the correct information regarding additional persons with parental responsibilities for your child.
Can my child see my communication with the school?
No, messages and communication from within the parent dashboard are strictly personal. Only you and the recipient can see the content.
