Going Down-Under for blended learning
Need a reason to go to Australia this summer? Join me and a host of teaching experts at the VisibleLearningPlus conference in Brisbane in July.
How can teachers put visible learning into practice? You can find out at the VisibleLearningPlus conference in Brisbane in July this year where a host of educational experts, including John Hattie, and James Nottingham will be talking - and I will be giving a workshop.
The VisibleLearningPlus conference is designed to enable teachers and school leaders to deepend their understanding of how to assess the impact they have on student achievement and learning. The conference includes a number of presentations, as well as workshops linked to visible learning.
A concept developed by Jophn Hattie, visible learning refers to teachers who evaluate what they are doing from the eyes of their students, and adjust their teaching to allow all students to succeed.
The blended classroom
I’ll be giving a workshop at the conference on what happens when teachers plan activities for a blended classroom (combining a virtual classroom and the physical classroom) so that the best properties of both teaching spheres are utilised.
I’ll show the work of number of teachers who work in this way - including teachers I’ve come across in my research for itslearning.
