itslearning features

itslearning consists of a number of different features which are especially tailored for the education sector. This page describes the most important functionality. Click the links below for more information, video tutorials and resources.

Audio/Video Conferences

Not in the same building, town or country? Don’t worry, you can still work together using the audio/video conference.

Sometimes, project participants or course teachers can be spread over large distance. The itslearning video/audio conference function ensures you can still work together, despite geographical challenges.

See, hear and write

The conference function supports video, sound and text-based chat – giving you a number of ways to communicate with each other. When you set up a course or project, simply click Add conference to enable conferencing, and the participants in the course or project are automatically added to the conference. Then, when you want the conference to start, simply click Start conference.

What can I use conferences for?

  • Web-based lessons: invite external lecturers to speak in lessons, wherever they are
  • Language classes: create international courses that meet regularly via conferences
  • Projects: learners can cooperate on projects from home
  • Parent/school communication: video conferences offer new possibilities for home/school communication
  • Meetings: teachers from different schools can meet regularly without leaving the office

(Note: in most itslearning installations, there is an upper limit to the number of participants who can join a video/audio conference.)
