Users of any learning platform can follow a course in itslearning, meaning you can open your courses to a broader range of learners.
On most courses, participants will come from the same school or college – and the teachers and learners will all have itslearning profiles provided by that school. But it’s also possible to broaden you list of participants to include learners (and teachers) from other institutions.
Invite participants from other schools, institutions and countries
By default, courses are only available to people within your school or itslearning site. However, when setting up a course, teachers can decide to allow AICC communication – and so open the course up to a wider audience.
How does it work? The teacher is given a URL when they set up the course. They can then send this to anyone they want to join the course. As long as the person has a profile in a learning platform that supports AICC, they can access all the course materials through their learning platform.
Join courses through the itslearning community
As a teacher, you can also choose the share your course with the worldwide itslearning community. You can select whether the course will be open to anybody or whether participants need to apply by sending you an email application.
